BRANDON & ALLISON GARDNER

Brandon and Allison Gardner are the proud parents of Judd William Gardner.  Brandon and Allison believe their strong commitment to one another, along with their unwavering faith, is what is helping them survive their devastating loss.  Brandon and Allison were friends while attending Newberry College, but their story really began a few years later when their paths crossed for a second time and they began dating.  Brandon and Allison dated for several years before marrying.  These years gave them time to develop an unbreakable bond that only became stronger through marriage.

Brandon and Allison had longed to be parents and the excitement of meeting their first born was untouchable.  When they found out they had lost their baby, only six days before a scheduled induction, their world came crashing down.  Although they were experiencing an indescribable devastation, they knew they had a new-found purpose in life.  There were so many details of their tragedy that needed more answers, and to be honest, there were no answers because there was very little research on ICP.  The protocol for diagnosis and treatment seemed frail and uncertain.  Brandon and Allison knew that they were going to help Judd leave a legacy by bringing light to this under-researched condition that can leave families shattered.  They began this journey in January 2019, three months after Judd was born, and Judd’s Legacy – ICP Awareness became an official 501(c)3 nonprofit exactly one year later.

Brandon was born and raised in Gaffney, South Carolina.  He then received his Bachelor of Arts from Newberry College and is currently employed by South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.  Allison was born and raised in Saluda, South Carolina.  She received her Bachelor of Science from Newberry College and her Doctor of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic.  She practices in Newberry, South Carolina as owner of Midlands Chiropractic.   Brandon and Allison live in Union, South Carolina and just welcomed Judd’s baby brother, Kip, into the world.  Brandon and Allison enjoy the outdoors, spending time with their families and friends, and are involved members of Grace United Methodist Church.  Brandon and Allison are excited to see their baby boy’s legacy continue to unfold.
